at Happy Hooves Riding Academy
We're open, yet we are taking the following measures to keep our students, boarders, and barn staff safe and healthy.
The most significant way we can protect ourselves at the barn is to limit the number of people there at one time. Currently, (and for the foreseeable future), all students and boarders have scheduled time slots to come to the barn.
This policy only works if our visitors comply with their respective time slots. We're excited to see you, but if you arrive early, please remain in your car until 5 minutes (at minimum) before your start time. Thank you!
- Social Distancing. When you're working with a horse (regardless of the human infection risks), its best to stay about 6-10 away from other horses, so our students will naturally be spread out during lessons and programs. At this time, we ask that parents and other observers watch from our outdoor areas and maintain social distance from each other.
- Masks. We are leaving the decision to wear masks up to our students and their parents. It's important to be able to breathe properly while riding, so many of our students have opted to take off their mask while riding, but wear it while handling the horses on the ground. If you prefer that your instructor wear a mask while working with you or your child, we are happy to do so.
- Disinfecting Surfaces. We have sanitizer available, and have been wiping down shared surfaces around the barn. Students are welcome to wear gloves and to use the sanitizer before using our equipment
We understand that people have different needs and comfort levels. If you have a specific request or would like more information, please contact your coach (current students) or reach out to us (prospective students) at email@example.com or (734) 546-6039.
